Analyst Corporate Finance / M&A

As an Analyst at Hemingway, you will be actively involved in mid-market M&A transactions from day one. You will take part in the entire sale process of companies and work closely with our team and with the shareholders and management teams we advise.
We are looking for someone who is analytically strong, takes initiative and looks beyond the numbers. You will quickly be given responsibility and ample room to develop yourself, both professionally and personally.

WHAT DOES THE M&A ANALYST ROLE INVOLVE?

• Analysing companies, markets and sectors.
• Preparing client presentations, information memoranda, financial models and transaction documentation
• Identifying and analysing potential buyers and investors
• Preparing and supporting contact with potential buyers and other parties involved
• Supporting the organisation and management of due diligence processes
• Actively contributing ideas on the positioning of companies and the strategy behind sale processes
• Taking responsibility for parts of ongoing transactions

• WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

• You hold a university master's degree in business or economics.
• You have internship experience in corporate finance, M&A, private equity or investment banking (up to one to one and a half years in total)
• You are analytically strong and have a solid understanding of financial and business issues
• You work accurately and in a structured way, with a keen eye for detail
• You are proactive and entrepreneurial, and you enjoy taking responsibility
• You communicate easily and professionally with clients and colleagues
• You have an affinity with entrepreneurship, strategy and M&A transactions
• You are interested in technological developments and the use of AI
• You enjoy working in a small, ambitious team
• You have an excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US
At Hemingway, you will have the opportunity to grow into an independent M&A project manager. We will guide you with the aim of having you lead transactions yourself within four to six years. You will develop into an adviser who is responsible for the substantive management of transactions and for conducting negotiations, who coaches junior colleagues and who builds their own commercial network.
